Diana Arellano

In 2004, I received my BSc degree in Computer Science at Universidad Simón Bolívar (USB), in Caracas, Venezuela. My undergraduate thesis was entitled "Actors with Personality for Videogames" (Actores con Personalidad para Videojuegos), under the supervision of Prof. Andreas Meier.

In 2005 I started a Master in Computer Science at Universidad Simón Bolívar (USB), in Caracas, Venezuela. At the same time I worked as a teaching assistant of courses as C Programming and Computer Graphics.

In 2006 I moved to Mallorca, to start my master's thesis at the Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB). It was finished in April 2008, and was entitled "Realistic generation of emotions and personality traits through parameterized facial expressions" (Generación realista de emociones y rasgos de personalidad por medio de la parametrización de expresiones faciales), under the supervision of Dr. Francisco J. Perales and Dr. Javier Varona (UIB), and Prof. Victor Theoktisto (USB).

At the moment I'm a PhD student at Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB), and my research topics are virtual humans, facial animation and simulation of context. I'm working under the supervision of Dr. Francisco J. Perales and Dr. Javier Varona.
